Post Office Visit, Aligarh (09 Sep 2023)

On Sept 9th, 2023, the Grade 7 students of The Blossoms School, Aligarh, embarked on a fascinating visit to the local post office. The purpose of this field trip was to provide the students with a hands-on experience of how a post office functions in the real world. The visit was led by the school’s educators and was made even more enriching with the presence of Mr. Sanjay, the Public Relations Inspector at the post office.

One of the highlights of the visit was Mr. Sanjay’s demonstration of various elements associated with a post office. He introduced the students to different types of stamps and their significance. The students were particularly excited to see rare and collectible stamps from different parts of the world. Mr. Sanjay explained the importance of stamps in postal services and how they are used to indicate the payment of postage.

The students were also shown various types of envelopes, each designed for specific purposes. They learned about the differences between regular envelopes and special ones used for sending important documents or fragile items. Mr. Sanjay’s engaging explanations made the students aware of the attention to detail required in the postal service.

The visit to the post office left an indelible mark on the Grade 7 students.
